We are thrilled to announce that our team won two major awards at Washington Wedding Day’s Best of 2024 Awards Gala–Best Catering and Best Seattle Venue!

A Vibrant Affair

This year’s awards gala took place at the stunning National Nordic Museum, with the evening planned and designed by the immensely talented Your Perfect Bridesmaid. Inspired by the artist Henri Matisse, the event featured vibrant hues, bold prints, and lively florals. The joy of the gala could be felt throughout the night and our team was soaking in every minute!

Getting together each year with our vendors and partners to celebrate our successes is a truly magical thing. Regardless of the awards, every person in our industry deserves a night to savor delicious food, enjoy a drink, and celebrate another successful year in the books. It’s events like this gala that breathe life into what we do, and help us build momentum for the year to come.

Vendor Friend Shoutouts!

One of our favorite aspects of this gala is the chance to experience the talents of our vendor friends firsthand! Michelle Nguyen, our Event Producer, praised Golden Flame Jewelry, saying, “I got a permanent bracelet from them, and they were not only incredibly kind but also very efficient! They even adjusted my older permanent bracelet to fit better at no extra cost.” Meanwhile, Libby Williamson, our Event Manager, had the pleasure of chatting with Sonja Babich, the CEO of Washington Wedding Day—a truly delightful person that the PNW is lucky to have.

We have to give a special shoutout to Foodz Catering and their flawless execution throughout the night! Our favorite station of theirs was the ice cream cart positioned next to the bar. Each cocktail was paired with a miniature scoop of homemade ice cream that perfectly complemented the flavors of the drink. We were so impressed with the amount of detail and intention behind each little cone!

DSquared Wins Big!

When the time came to announce the winners, our team entered the space feeling grateful to be among such incredible people. When Tuxedos & Tennis Shoes was announced as Best Catering, I was in awe. Being nominated for a Washington Wedding Day Award is an honor, but winning among such outstanding hospitality companies is truly special. We couldn’t be prouder of our ever-evolving team for earning this recognition.

When the Hall at Fauntleroy was called for Best Seattle Venue, my first thought was, “we were nominated for that award too?!” Not because I doubted our achievement, but because I was so amazed by our team and our venue’s growing reputation. We take great pride in creating special memories for so many people in that space, and having that recognized is a moment I’ll never forget.

While these awards don’t define us, they are a cherished nod of approval and appreciation for our entire team. They remind us to keep on keepin’ on, and that we are on the right path. It’s encouraging to know that people in our industry and community recognize our hard work and the special memories we create. These awards also inspire us to continue creating unforgettable experiences for our clients.

Cheering on Our Peers

There’s nothing better than being in a room with friends, cheering them on as they receive their well-deserved awards! Michelle Nguyen shared, “It was wonderful connecting with Clea and Clayton from Crimson Haze Lighting. When they won the Best Lighting award, I was overjoyed. I can always rely on them for top-notch service at my Hall at Fauntleroy weddings.”

We’ve also had the pleasure of working with Another One Ties the Knot, aka Cherise, several times now. This is the second year in a row they’ve won the Best Officiant category, and it’s easy to see why. Cherise creates such a beautiful sense of warmth and comfort that surrounds couples on their special day. We were also so pleased to see Orion Entertainment receive the award for Best DJ this year. The energy they bring into a space is absolutely unrivaled!

Although DSquared was also in the running for Best Overall Wedding Vendor, we couldn’t be happier and more proud of Shooby Doo Catering for winning this esteemed award. They’re an incredible company with an epic portfolio, and we’re thrilled to celebrate their well-deserved 2024 win!

Our Future in the Industry

After winning the award for Best Seattle Venue, we’re incredibly excited about the future of the Hall at Fauntleroy and anticipate a bustling 2025 season! Our team is also gearing up for the opening of 4105, our newest event venue located in our commissary. We’re eager to host lavish and awe-inspiring weddings, engagement parties, and rehearsal dinners here in this updated industrial chic space. Combined with our expanding list of preferred venues, we believe 2025 will be one of our best wedding years yet!

The best thing about this awards gala is that it gives us another reason to celebrate with the incredible people we’ve built such strong connections with over the years. Through all the challenges and triumphs—literally the blood, sweat, and tears—we've always been there for each other. That’s one of the main reasons I love working in the PNW hospitality industry: it allows us to showcase our achievements, cheer on our peers, and feel the immense support from those in our same market.
