The brains behind every big decision, David Haggerty founded Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes Catering in 1986 and, with "co-David", David Meckstroth, built on that success to create the other holdings in the DSquared family.
From his start in the trenches of Seattle’s 1980s restaurant scene (he still dreams about working at Jonah & The Whale at the Bellevue Holiday Inn), David has honed his entrepreneurial and managerial expertise through decades of hands-on experience in the culinary industry.
Whether he’s launching a new venture or pitching in on an event, David bases everything he does on the same simple principle: guests first. Away from work, David enjoys spending time with his family, water skiing and coming up with creative ways to help DSquared staff maintain their signature enthusiasm.
He and his wife, Meg, live in Longbranch WA, where they are developing 25 acres of land into both their dream home and an intimate, rustic gathering space. David remains involved in the Seattle arts community by serving on the advisory board of Seattle Shakespeare Company.
