“I have the pleasure of creating memorable, delectable food for our clients,” says Mel, whose joy in cooking stems from a lifelong dream of being a chef. A childhood drawing of herself as a baker still serves as a reminder that this path was always meant to be.

Mel’s culinary journey began with formal training in Pastry& Baking, but her experience spans far beyond the sweet side of the kitchen. She’s worked with some of San Diego’s most prestigious restaurant groups like Trust Resturant Group, notably climbing the ranks at the Michelin-recognized Cucina Urbana from pastry cook to sous chef. That foundation shaped her intoa well-rounded culinary leader with a dedication to excellence and a heart forteamwork.

In the kitchen, Mel thrives on the camaraderie and connection uniqueto the culinary world. She believes food is a universal language—one that marks life’s most important moments and brings people together.
